The rising Bowie Bulldogs 13U-14U is a premium high school prep program for players that are serious about playing at the varsity level in high school. Our goal is to provide players (incoming 8th/9th graders) with the necessary evaluation, education, development, and competition to prepare them for high school ball. Players will go through the same development programs as high school players. All players trying out for the team must not turn 15 years old prior to May 1, 2022.
2021-2022 SCHEDULE
Fall (11 weeks)
- 11 to 12-man roster
- 1 pitcher only roster spot
- 1 to 2 practice player spots (Fall Only)
- Practice 2x per week
- 8 – 10 CBA League Game Schedule (starting after Labor Day)
- 3 tournaments schedule
- Open practices for local high school coaches
- Hitting & Pitching instruction opportunities
Winter (10 weeks)
- Workouts 1x per week (day TBD) in January, February, and March at Farm Club facility.
- Classroom-style & Zoom chalk talk practice 2x per month (day TBD) with guest high school coaches in January & February.
- In lieu of winter workouts, players may be encouraged to work with private instructors (TBD).
Spring/Summer (13 weeks)
- 11 to 12-man roster
- 1 pitcher only roster spot
- Outdoor practices begin approximately March 15.
- Practices 3 to 4x per week before season
- Practices 1 to 2x per week during season
- Open practices for local high school coaches
- 20 – 22 CBA League Game Schedule (Wed/Thu and Sat or Sun)
- 5 tournaments
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
- Approximate cost per player – TBD. 2020 cost were approximately $1,006.14 for spring and fall season. The covered the following:
- 3 sets of game jerseys & caps
- 2 sets of practice shirts
- Bag
- Helmet
- Hoodie
- Team equipment
- Indoor facility rental
- League/tourney fees
- Payment will be due on (TBD) ($250 deposit or total payment)
- Team fees do not include:
- Lodging expenses for all players and parents
- Transportation expenses to and from tournaments traveled by car or bus.
- Supplemental tournaments — teams may elect to attend additional tournaments during the season.
- Player baseball pants, socks, cleats and equipment (bat, glove, glasses, etc.)
